In the hospital, children from various units watch in excitement out of their hospital room windows, as well as some in the Press Box Cafe. This box is at the top floor of the hospital. The press box includes windows built floor-to-ceiling that create a great view of Kinnick Stadium for the children.
The Hawkeyes are the 22nd recipients of the Disney Sports Spirit Award. Past recipients include lineman Hank Goff after his combat tour in Afghanistan and many other inspirational figures. The achievement comes with a lot of honor and respect. The uplifting and emotional story struck a cord with our staff as well.
