University of Iowa Band give a unique wave to the Children's Hospital

Inspiring, moving, ‘bring a tear to your eye’ worthy, the Iowa Wave.

The joy this movement has brought seems to be continuing through different avenues as well! Whether it be the sale of Iowave Shirts with proceeds going to the Iowa Steadfast Children’s Hospital, or the University of Iowa Band doing a special formation ‘wave’ to the children within the hospital. It is a meaningful feeling to be involved in such a great tradition’s beginning.

Here is the video (left) of the marching band creating a huge hand, moving back and forth their hand formation waving at the hospital. With the unity this new tradition has created, from fans, players, the children, and even the band, we hope this wave of support and love continues throughout our communities.
