2nd Annual Dragon Cornhole Classic

With just a few weeks away from the 2nd Dragon Cornhole Classic, teams are beginning to practice and prepare. Second place winner in the adult teams last year, (Lincoln Mincks, left ) says "Preparation this year will be unprecedented",this time there is no room for error. He plans on taking home that first place trophy.

This event has two divisions, Open 18+, and Youth 17 & under. The registration fee is a bit more for an adult team, but the rules are the same for both. (see rules below)
Last year we ended up with over 25 teams competing. This year we aspire to double, even triple, that amount.
Lincoln added that he loved playing in the championship game last year and hearing all of their fans cheering, especially with Bob-Squared (third place team) watching from the sideline!
When asked if his team planned on changing their strategy from last year Lincoln replied, "We have thrown analytics out the window. We are relying on our talent, work ethic, & preparation." Although, he didn't disclose too many specifics in the change in training this team would use, he did say, "Our plan is to execute our throws and be confident in each others abilities."
We also had a chance to interview the one of the 3rd place winners. (Robert Killian, player on the left, below )

His team, Bob-Squared, is well known for laying down a whooping on any team that challenges them at local tailgating events.
Which made last years placement a even bigger upset. Although the team will attempt to become the champions again this year. "I will be reuniting with Bob Stewart to put us back on the map, after our disappointing third place finish last year. We know the competition will be tough again but we plan on drinking less and focusing more on the tourney." When asked about the potential of playing against his own son, who is able to move up to the Open Division this year, Robert had no qualms about the matter. "Although I love my son, I would 'crush' him if he decides to enter the open division. I think it would be in his best interest to stay in the 'youth' division."
We are excited to work with Doc's again this year in hosting this event, and hope to see you all out playing in the tournament or supporting your favorite team!
